Merci d’avance de votre générosité!
Where will the money go? Unfortunately, despite our efforts and without regard to all the information demonstrating the unacceptable risk of groundwater contamination, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has decided to include the Jessup’s Falls escarpment in its inventory of exploitable aggregates. We did finally obtain a formal recognition of the presence of an exceptional karst formation in the Jessup’s Falls area. We also convinced the United Counties to tighten regulations to protect this fragile zone. We still have $20,000 in outstanding fees to pay but with the generous help of the entire community we are getting there! We can know focus on a much more pleasant mission: the promotion of our region and the protection of its inestimable ecological value. So where will the money go? First, to paying off the remaining costs. And then to informing, protecting, and promoting sustainable development!
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
